Establishing Digital Businesses at the Region’s Premier Coworking Communities:


AstroLabs offers an unparalleled launchpad for regional tech entrepreneurs and global companies to set up and scale up their businesses in the UAE and KSA. AstroLabs handles end-to-end business license setup and offers soft-landing offices at its coworking spaces in Dubai and Riyadh. It has established over 300 tech companies since 2015, which have raised a combined total of over USD $150m in venture capital funding.




They are now seeking an Accounting and Finance Associate to enable the next phase of growth at AstroLabs as they scale up to serve hundreds of startups across multiple facilities and deploy programs to thousands more.


Fundamentally, you will be the engine behind our operations, ensuring a smooth financial operation, that all systems and processes work flawlessly and that financial controls are in place to track performance and drive growth.


They’re looking for an individual with 3-5 years of accounting, finance and business analysis experience, who is passionate about numbers and metrics and is naturally gifted at managing complexity with many competing priorities.

Financial analysis and reporting

  • Own the preparation, analysis, and communication of monthly P&L

  • Develop and maintain a financial dashboard to report on the key metrics driving the business with a monthly full financial report to management

  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, revenues, expenses, etc) taking into account the company's goals and performance objectives

  • Provide comprehensive and concise reports to Management Team on the financial health and situation of the company

  • Develop cash flow forecasting and reporting models and provide Management Team with recommendations and actionable insights



  • Manage internal accounting system by keeping it updated with all transactions

  • Manage Receivables, including issuing invoices for members,

  • Optimize collections, ensuring following up with late payments and optimizing the cash conversion cycle

  • Ensure timely payment of suppliers with valid invoices 

  • Manage external accounting firm to streamline accounting processes

  • Work with external accounting firm to prepare VAT and other tax return filings.

  • Work with the external auditor to close the books on an annual basis


Systems and processes

  • Develop and implement appropriate financial controls

  • Conduct full audit on current systems and processes and present findings to management with recommendations for long term scaling requirements



  • You have worked as a financial analyst or a relevant finance/accounting role for 3-5 years in a Big Four advisory or a high-performance, highly data-driven company

  • You are SUPER structured with exceptional organizational skills and thrive on making a complex operation run like a well-oiled machine

  • You are proficient at using Excel for financial modelling and performance analysis

  • You are comfortable with collecting and crunching complex data

  • You are meticulous and have an eye for details

  • You can juggle multiple tasks at once and you always close the loop

  • You have a knack for numbers and financials

  • You’re proactive and quick. You know how to take ownership, delegate responsibilities, and close the loop to get things done

  • You communicate clearly in a structured manner when writing and speaking

  • You have good judgment: able to effectively filter inbound opportunities, handle unexpected issues, and spend your time working on the highest value priorities

  • You are comfortable with Google Apps (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Forms)

  • Knowledge of Xero accounting system is critical
