PROPERTY ACQUISITION MANAGER - DUBAI 

 

Maison Privee, a 'virtual hotel', offers private residential properties as an alternative to traditional hotels, delivered through the effective management of individual properties on behalf of independent owners. A high growth start-up, Maison Privee has recently secured Series A funding of USD$4m and is well placed to take a leading position in the short-stay accommodation market in Dubai.

They help property owners earn increased revenue from their properties by enabling them to capitalise on the strong demand for corporate and tourist accommodation in Dubai. They also rent properties directly from owners for the purpose of subletting them to their guests on a short stay basis. It’s simple and stress-free, with a focus on customer service. For their Guests, Maison Privee focuses on the management and provision of high standards of accommodation by handpicking each and every property to come under their portfolio.

 

They’re looking for a bright and charismatic Property Acquisition Manager to help grow their property portfolio. You will be responsible for growth through supply acquisition in Dubai initially and further afield as they grow. You will identify suitable homes to either rent on behalf of Maison Privee or manage on behalf of the owner. You’ll market to potential clients, close deals and build rapport with each newly accepted homeowner or property manager. You will ensure the standards of their portfolio are high and consistent as well month on month. You will work on bringing on new supply and through effective pricing and homeowner expectation management, ensure these homes reach their full commercial potential by achieving the desired occupancy level.

OPPORTUNITY

You will be an integral part of their Property Acquisition team bringing on new supply through research, lead development, negotiation and contract closure. While largely an inside sales role, we will ensure that you get rounded experience and the opportunity to grow. This role will draw on strong business development skills and mark you as a catalyst in the growth of Maison Privee.

 

The role will report to the Head of Property Acquisition.

POSITION

  • Building supply. Through both proactive and reactive outreach face-to-face, over the phone, and via e-mail. The aim is to build a portfolio or extraordinary homes and inspire trust and confidence in Maison Privee under the managed and rental models. 

  • Being commercially accountable. Their homeowners entrust us with their most valuable asset and they join Maison Privee because their service is simple, secure, and financially rewarding. You’ll be accountable for making sure their homeowners have a good understanding of their offering which supports their account management team in ensuring we can deliver on this and as a result enables us to maximise their commercial capacity. When renting homes, you will ensure that you negotiate a rental price and structure which makes economic sense for Maison Privee and delivers value for money for their business.

  • Marketing. They know their company is the best option for guests and homeowners alike, building their network and reputation is the best way to grow their portfolio.

  • Relationship building. You will develop a network of homeowners to ensure Maison Privee is the default choice for homeowners and property managers to maximise the commercial value of their properties.

 

 

PROFILE

 

  • Experience within a real estate broker, hotel or holiday home operator in the UAE required.

  • Bachelors degree or diploma in Property, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Hospitality Management.

  • Extensive experience and an ability to forge personal and business relationships with a diverse and sophisticated community.

  • Goal-oriented. You take job satisfaction from hitting ambitious growth targets.

  • Personable and empathetic. You’re capable and confident in explaining to homeowners they are best placed to handle their most precious commodity, their homes.

  • Sound judgement, even under pressure, with a thick skin and ability to roll with the punches.

  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills. An analytical approach to portfolio management and growing profitable supply.

  • Great communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Flexibility. This role is fast-paced and goals and targets can change. You are adaptable and amenable to change. You speak English fluently, Arabic or Russian an advantage.

  • Role is based in Dubai and you will need to travel extensively around the city (driving license is a must).
